Bora

Designer: Bruno Faucz

A refined study in proportion and texture, this compact sideboard distills the essence of Brazilian midcentury modern design into a versatile, sculptural form. Designed to function as a sideboard or end table, its modest scale belies its presence—anchoring a space with quiet confidence and material richness.

Crafted from solid wood, the piece showcases the natural beauty of its grain with a hand-finished surface that glows with warmth and depth. Rounded corners, recessed panels, and tapered legs reference the soft geometry of Brazil’s design icons, blending function with organic modernism.

Behind its clean facade lies smart storage—ideal for keeping everyday objects close at hand while maintaining a clean, uncluttered environment. Thoughtful details, such as concealed pulls and seamless joinery, highlight the craftsmanship behind its construction.

Whether placed beside a sofa, in an entryway, or as a standalone accent, it offers timeless utility in a form that celebrates both tradition and contemporary living.

Tauari, also known as Brazilian Oak, is comparable to North American Red Oak, but 13% harder. Its colours range from off-white to medium brown, with a medium graining pattern and low luster. Tauari wood provides the highly sought after "wheat" colour associated with domestic oak. In addition to being visually appealing, this hardwood is also resistant to decay, insects, and other impacts, ensuring long lasting use of your Tauari wood product.
