With a nod to Brazil’s rich tradition of midcentury modern design, this bench is a quiet study in balance, proportion, and material honesty. Its form is understated yet intentional, where every angle and curve has been shaped with purpose.

Crafted from solid hardwood, the bench highlights the organic beauty of Brazilian timber, allowing the grain to take center stage. The seat is lightly contoured for comfort, while softened edges and rounded transitions lend a sense of approachability to its otherwise architectural silhouette. Tapered legs provide subtle lift and structure, echoing the elegance of vintage Brazilian design without nostalgia.

Equally suited for use in a hallway, bedroom, or living area, it offers versatility without compromise. Whether standing alone or paired with a dining table, its clean lines and warm materiality make it an adaptable companion for a range of interiors.

Thoughtfully built and visually restrained, this bench brings timeless sophistication to modern spaces, embodying a design philosophy where simplicity, craftsmanship, and nature are deeply intertwined.

Tauari, also known as Brazilian Oak, is comparable to North American Red Oak, but 13% harder. Its colours range from off-white to medium brown, with a medium graining pattern and low luster. Tauari wood provides the highly sought after "wheat" colour associated with domestic oak. In addition to being visually appealing, this hardwood is also resistant to decay, insects, and other impacts, ensuring long lasting use of your Tauari wood product.
